This eyeliner stamp Is the secret to a perfect cat eye!

Let me just put it out there: I’m no cat-eye expert. Despite being a beauty junkie for years, perfecting a flick doesn’t come easy to me (or to most people, really). One end will always be thinner or thicker than the other. Case in point: giving in to the eyeliner stamp trend was the best solution ever. Forget the Internet hack of relying on scotch tapes or business cards to create precise lines—apparently, the only thing missing in my kit was a good ol’ stamp.

What is an eyeliner stamp?

A dual-ended stamp eyeliner that has a triangular, wing-ready stamp on one end and a fine-tip liquid eyeliner on the other.

The claim:

Designed with the cat-eye newbies in mind, this eyeliner promises to “quickly imprint a winged look onto the outer corner of the eyes”. Meanwhile, the fine-tipped liner on the opposite end is used to “complete the look by connecting thin to thick lines on the lash line”.

The verdict:

True to its claim, the eyeliner did get the job done ten times quicker, but with a little practice, of course.

To use it, I recommend that you line your upper lash line first, working from the inner corner out, and stamp the wing last. If you do it the other way around, you’ll find it difficult to get the angle of the wing right, which was my initial struggle; the flicks were stamped too high than the other.

The trick? Treat your lined upper lash lines as a guide when stamping the wings, and you’ll create that killer cat-eye look with ease.

Formula-wise, I wouldn’t say that it’s 100% smudge-free—although it seems budge-proof right after application, my cat-eye didn’t stay intact at the end of the day (it only lasted for two to three hours). Don’t worry, though, you can always top it off with your trusty liner to keep the wings in check!

So is it worth the hype? If you’re not blessed with cat-eye skills, this deserves to be your go-to liner. After all, it’s a lot more ideal to use this game-changing tool than scotch tapes, TBH.
